The terminal, reoriented

A fast terminal with tabs, panes, SSH and SFTP. Split a project the way the work wants and it stays that way; tabs, panes and settings are workspace state, not something you rebuild each morning at a blank prompt.

Compass is a graphical workspace over Pi: streaming output, Pi’s eleven built-in slash commands, context-window reporting tied to Pi’s own session statistics, and a session tree you can branch and clone instead of losing a thread you wanted back.

Update Pi without rebuilding Atlas. A graphical provider view handles model selection and credentials, Named Model Sets apply an ordered list of models to a conversation, and sessions stay portable. Extensions, skills and packages are managed the Pi-native way, so nothing here locks you to one provider.

Atlas is not another agent runtime. It is the place the work happens, with a deliberate line drawn between that place and the intelligence working inside it. The Pi process stays external, reached over JSON-RPC through its documented interface, with no proprietary system prompts and nothing forked, patched or written back into Pi’s source.
